Welcome! I am a seminary student interested in the way rhetoric about religion in the realm of politics and
public policy has recently--for at least twenty years--been expressed almost exclusively through a fundamantalist understanding
of Christianity that has little to do with the longer tradition of Christianity and even less to do with the teachings of
Jesus. In this site and on my blog, WorththeStruggle.blogspot.org, I hope to struggle with scripture and religious tradition
from a more progressive and liberating position that God is FOR the world God loves, and that we are responsible to work for
greater social justice and mercy in this world, and to be as open and inclusive of "the other" as we can with help from God.
